Cabarete music & arts festivalThis first cultural festival of Cabarete Beach will be celebrated on November 27th, 28th, and 29th. The event is organized by groups of independent artists, creative people, and entrepreneurs passionate about music and arts. The purpose is to consolidate a platform for experimental music, and for emergent contemporary art, with creative programming and activities consisting of: mural painting, live music, performances, light pole paintings, exhibitions, bazars, etc.This cultural project contributes to the integral development of the community and its people, and transforms the lives of people by creating visual and educating surroundings.

Day 4 - Finals and downwind race

Cabarete Classic Day 4 FinalsThroughout the 4 days of competition, numerous and colorful windsurf sails and kites have raced across the waters in Cabarete Bay, setting a beautiful scenery for the Cabarete Classic 2004. Sunday was the last day of the competition and it was celebrated in style with the Long Distance Down Wind Race from La Hermita to Cabarete, a freestyle competition as well as a closing ceremony.

Day 3 - The Racing Continues!

Cabarete Classic Day 3 Kitesurf Windsurf competitionThe international melting pot of racers were ready for more action today, on the second day of competition! Cabarete Classic 2014 presents competitors from the following countries: Sweden, Netherlands, Germany, France, England, Hawaii, Venezuela, Canada, United States and Dominican Republic. Some of the finals were completed today, for both kiters and windsurfers. The freestyle finals will be completed on the last day of the competition, Sunday.

Day 2 - Races Begin

Cabarete Classic Day 2The wind was blowing hard on the first day of the Cabarete Classic competition site. Summer tradewinds kicked in with the early morning hours, creating the impeccable wind sport conditions that Cabarete is famous for. Excitement filled the air, leaving no doubt that it was racing day. Cabarete Bay could not provide better conditions for the athletes about to demonstrate their skills.

Day 1 - Inscription Day

Cabarete Classic Inscription Day 2014These days top windsurf and kiteboard competitors and enthusiasts from around the world are gathered in town to participate in the event Cabarete Classic 2014. Today was the first day, inscription day and we were there. Throughout today’s sunny and windy afternoon the organizers of the event along with participants met in the shade of Vela Windsurf Center. While relaxing and loading up on energy for tomorrows action they were chatting, laughing and showing plenty of excitement about the events that will take place throughout the weekend.

Cabarete Classic 2014

Cabarete Classic 2014 Windsurf Kitesurf competitionSince 1984 Cabarete has been on the international windsurfing map of best windsurfing spots, known for its world-class wind conditions. These days top competitors and enthusiasts from around the world are gathering in town to participate in the big event Pablito Guzman´s Cabarete Classic 2014.
Cabarete Classic was first held in 2006 and is one of the biggest windsurf and kitesurf competitions in the Caribbean. It was founded by Pablito Guzman, who has competed in international competitions for the past two decades.

Final Day - Master of the ocean Crowned

Zane Schweitzer Master of the Ocean 2015 Cabarete Dominican RepublicEncuentro Beach & Cabarete Beach: The last day of the Master of the Ocean event, which started off with some breeze creating choppy conditions for the last Team Surf Finals and the Surf and Stand-Up Paddle Expression Sessions in the morning, turned absolutely beautiful in the afternoon with loads of sun and a strong breeze to help along the Kite and Windsurf Expression Sessions.
