Kizomba!! Dance the Night Away!

DancingThe Dominican Republic is like most Latino countries; filled with dance, smiles and and latino rhythms. Cabarete is no exception. Dominicans dance every occasion they get and they do it with great passion. The most dominating styles of dance are Merengue and Bachata, but Salsa is also quite popular and a big part of the Dominican culture. Bachata is still considered the local “native” dance and this mixture of African and Dominican dance is fast and fun! It usually calls for quite a bit of hip shaking, even from the smallest children who clearly demonstrates to the tourists that the dance is something they are taught from birth.

Anton-and-Maxim-Lvov-at-UltravioletaIn 2008, the brothers Lvov stayed with their family in Playa Dorada for a two-week vacation. Getting a bit bored after a couple of days they asked what else there was to do in the area and ended up in Cabarete. The rest of the holiday was spent learning how to kite and living it up on Cabarete beach. The family was hooked. As the two brothers had already developed several real estate projects before in Italy and Eastern Europe, they toyed with the idea of developing something in Cabarete. But if they were going to take that step they wanted their project to be special and different from what already existed.
