How to do… a frontloop

Damien trick tips how to do kiteboardingFrontloop, sometimes also called frontroll, is a basic trick in kitesurfing. It’s good fun, easy to learn and looks even better, with its smooth natural rotation. If you want to improve your kite skills then you must learn this trick. Once you know this, you can do all kinds of variations, like for example landing blind, adding a grab, use it in a transition or do various rotations.

As a matter of fact, it’s one of the most popular tricks around and I’m sure that you’ve already seen others do this trick, or variations of it, many times. Now, you too can become part of the club after reading how to do it and trying it.

Level: basic - intermediate

Common mistakes
•    You fall hard because your kite is past 12 o’clock (back side).
•    Your hands are not at the center of the bar and you lose control.
•    Once you’ve nearly completed the full rotation you didn’t pull slowly on the front of the bar and you’re not in the right position to land.
